Arcadia launches leading utility data product on Snowflake Marketplace

on June 27, 2024

Arcadia today announced that it has launched its industry-leading utility data platform on Snowflake Marketplace. By leveraging Arcadia’s utility data platform on Snowflake Marketplace, joint customers will be able to seamlessly connect to global utility data at scale. Arcadia’s offering will provide standardized, normalized, and calendarized utility consumption data for various business use cases, including Scope 2 calculations and energy management.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Snowflake to help customers access our comprehensive utility data solution with more ease and efficiency than ever,” said Curtis Snyder, SVP & GM at Arcadia. "This will empower software and service companies, as well as our corporate customers, to accelerate their time to value.”

“With Arcadia’s utility data product on Snowflake Marketplace, we’re able to more closely collaborate and bring important energy consumption data into our joint customers’ Snowflake environments,” said Kieran Kennedy, Head of Marketplace at Snowflake. “Through this listing, Arcadia will be able to better help businesses uplevel their carbon reporting and support a wide range of energy and utility data management needs.”

Arcadia’s platform will now have a public listing available in Snowflake Marketplace to access sample data via ESG tables. This listing will include sample datasets from Plug, which provides connections to thousands of utility providers to centralize statement and meter data. The datasets will provide records for four tables: Calendarized Monthly Usages, Calendarized Quarterly Usages, Calendarized Annual Usages, and Statement Availability Report.

It will also include Plug’s newest data access method, DataHub — a feature that enables customers to access utility data in table format through a Snowflake direct share which provides access to DataHub's ESG tables in your Snowflake Account. DataHub provides customers with calendarized and aggregated meter-level utility data at the monthly, quarterly, and annual timeframes to support ESG scope 2 reports. From there, customers can access the private listing to purchase Plug (with DataHub) through Snowflake Marketplace.

This will make it easier for customers who already use Snowflake to access the data they need without multiple contracting processes. Now, customers can seamlessly apply their committed budgets within Snowflake to get started with Arcadia’s industry-leading energy data products.

“We’re excited to partner with Snowflake and bring together the power of two leading data platform companies,” said Alexa Minerva, VP of Partnerships at Arcadia. “With this partnership, customers can now more easily access our comprehensive data in preformatted tables to fulfill their needs for accurate, high-fidelity ESG and carbon accounting.”
