Last month, we announced that ENGIE Impact has been acquired by Arcadia, a milestone that reshapes energy management and brings a truly comprehensive, end‑to‑end solution to market. This is more than a transaction. It’s a strategic step forward for our clients who are navigating unprecedented complexity, evolving market, and opportunity.

Now, Arcadia is creating a unified platform that connects data to meaningful action — helping organizations manage energy with greater speed, clarity, and confidence.

This moment is the culmination of a long journey.

Thirty years ago, ENGIE Impact was born from those challenges as Avista Advantage. Long before utility data was viewed as strategic, we helped organizations make sense of it. As energy markets grew more complex, we evolved into Ecova, expanding our reach and capabilities. In 2014, we joined the ENGIE Group and became ENGIE Impact, enabling us to scale globally and broaden our focus to help clients connect energy management with decarbonization, resilience, and business performance.

Our business has continued to evolve alongside the changing needs of our clients

Arcadia and ENGIE Impact are closely aligned in how we view and think about the utility bill management. Not as a byproduct of operations, but as the foundation for better, smarter decisions. Utility data remains one of the most complex and underused datasets enterprises manage, even though it sits at the intersection of cost, risk, carbon emissions, and resilience.

When data is fragmented or delayed, decision-making suffers. When it’s accurate, timely, and connected, it becomes a powerful driver of efficiency, insight, and impact. As Arcadia our AI‑powered data platform advances how utility data is captured, processed, and applied by turning complexity into actionable insight. A unified data model brings utility expenses, procurement contracts, and analytics into a single cloud environment — eliminating silos and manual reconciliation while unlocking new efficiency and optimization opportunities.

The mandate is clear: beyond bill pay, better data, faster insight, and solutions that scale with complexity.

Along with our Chief Product Officer, Udit Garg, I'll be discussing how we're building the enterprise intelligence platform for businesses in a webinar on July 28 — register now for your spot!
